Creating Happy People
Creating Happy People was a project that involved Year 6 girls and boys from Winterbourne Junior Girls School and Winterbourne Boys Academy in Croydon. We worked together to create and develop natural facemasks created by them.
Our aim for this project was to provide these young people with skills and information to develop skin care products using natural ingredients and learn more about these ingredients and their benefits. Also, we wanted the participants to have a special project of developing a unisex face mask. Our main target was to get the boys involved in the project as they are known to be less engaged and also to remove the stereotype that beauty is only a matter for females. "Creating Happy People" was not only a chance to create a product but also for the young people to learn and develop themselves in employability skills, personal development, communication skills and it was a chance for the students to gain confidence.
This project was perfect for these young entrepreneurs who were able to showcase natural talent that they otherwise may not have known they even had.
Creating Happy People was funded and supported by the Big Lottery Fund.
